TEP to Increase Commerical Up-Front Payback

In a meeting on January 13, 2010, the Arizona Corporation Commission approved Tucson Electric Power’s plan to increase the up-front incentive for commercial customers from 20 kilowatts to 100 kilowatts. This decision will make it even more affordable for numerous businesses to take advantage of the sun’s power by placing a solar system on their buildings.

This plan also included the increase in renewable energy surcharges for residential and commercial clients to help off set the cost of renewable-energy-generation projects.

Both of these decisions help solidify and increase the benefits of using solar energy to power homes and businesses.
